Union Material's whisker grades is an advanced silicon-carbide(SiC) whisker reinforced ceramic grade. The important component of SW400 and SW800, ultra-strong whiskers makes possible increasing fracture toughness and notch wear resistance in the machining of super alloys at high speed cutting. SW400 and SW800 offer high productivity and extended tool life in machining nickel based alloy and cobalt based alloy, Inconel, Stellite etc.
