Inspired by the need to increase the flexibility of machine tools, O.M.G. HT series are able to perform drilling, thread-cutting, boring, milling-cutting. They can be installed directly on the machine's spindle or, with their own drive, mounted on slides with one or more axes of movement. They can be fitted directly onto machine spindles and onto units or slides with one or more moving axes, or again, they can have their own motorisation. They are available in three sizes: 160, 250, 360, each equipped with spindles with different tool couplings (ABS, DIN 55058, HSK, ER, or special); multispindle heads or multipliers can also be fitted. Each turret can feature up to 8 positions, which means it can perform 8 different operations without having to reposition the piece or, in the case of transfer units, in the same work station. This is a big advantage in terms of flexibility and cutting running costs. The peculiarity of the OMG turret is machining spindle positioning, using a HIRTH crown gear. There are no moving parts subject to wear and the system is therefore sturdy and precise and provides constant reproducibility over time. The securing/release of the HIRTH crown gear is by means of a hydraulic circuit, while a single motor selects the work station and starts tool rotation. The possibility of turning the turret in both directions makes it possible to more quickly find the spindle needed for the job to be done. Each spindle, mounted on precision bearings, features a dedicated cooling circuit, while tool centre cooling is provided as an optional. Finally, the turret is connected and controlled by the machine CNC.
Precisely thinking of customers’ requirements, O.M.G. has ideated the new facing heads of the FH series, fully in-house studied and manufactured, to be installed ...
OMG angle heads are designed to perform those operations which cannot be carried out with horizontal or vertical machines except by further piece positioning. They ...
The idea behind the O.M.G. “TA Heavy Duty” series is to reduce time and costs in machining operations, without raising the price of the head itself. The TA series ...
The peculiarity of the VH series lies in the drive inside the head, which is gear drive instead of cardan drive. Thanks to this solution, speeds of 4000 rpm can ...
