    Description

    You know advanced carbon composites as CFRP or carbon. You know that carbon has become indispensable in aerospace, motor and competitive sports. Carbon is used in these industries whenever classic metallic materials reach their limits. But that has nothing to do with machine tool construction! Or does it? Machine tools are already working at the physical limits today. Main times can hardly be reduced and additional systems to eliminate even the last non-productive times are becoming more and more complicated and expensive. Very few people realize that the physical properties of steel set these limits. This is exactly where we see the ideal starting point for the targeted use of carbon. Instead of achieving further marginal improvements with more and more expensive additional systems, the adjustable physical properties of CFRP open up savings and growth potentials at the same time.
