    Description

    Automation and industry 4.0 determine the future development of industrial production. Machines are to be networked and operate intelligently and autonomously, which will be made possible by new software and their communication with each other. The degree of CAE support is also increasing rapidly. The simulation of the behavior of components and their production makes it possible to map the entire life cycle. Automated design is the link between component simulation and production simulation. In this vision, components are completely designed by the computer, simulated and finally passed on to production. This will be made possible by generative design. Based on simulated loads, a large number of design candidates are generated and tested for their technical and economic suitability. This lecture highlights the current status of this development and points out future developments.
