Additive Manufacturing – a Driver of Innovations

Additive manufacturing processes have become a key technology in the production arena, as the demand for "unlimited design freedom" in aviation, automotive, mechanical engineering, medical technology and other industries continues to grow.

Make an impact on planners and investors at the Additive Manufacturing Circle

Compared with traditional manufacturing methods, the advantages of additive manufacturing include cost savings, since no specific tools need to be manufactured. There is also a lower rate of material consumption, greater freedom of design and the ability to create cavities and honeycomb structures in lightweight products. Due to the wide range of potential applications, industry experts are forecasting additive manufacturing sales to run between 25 and 30 billion dollars annually by 2020.

At EMO Hannover 2019, manufacturers of AM processes as well as manufacturers of hybrid machine tools will have the opportunity to present their products and highlight their potential to an international audience of trade visitors from all user industries.

Production planners and investors can come here to find out about the latest technological developments. The key focus is on solutions and processes for all process topics from geometry creation, AM systems and materials to quality assurance. In many cases, production service providers are the first ones to introduce AM technology, before it is adopted by manufacturers themselves. Our Additive Manufacturing Circle group pavilion is the exhibition showcase for production service providers. At EMO Hannover 2019, exhibitors can showcase their services either at their individual booth or participate in our Additive Manufacturing Circle group pavilion

In addition, start-ups and young, innovative companies will also have the opportunity to appear at group presentation areas.
