Pick To Light Systems develops and produces digital order-picking and sorting systems of all types and processes for different warehouses and distribution centers. At EMO Hannover 2017 the company will be showcasing two innovations. The first is a new generation of wireless modules that features reduced sizes and a battery life of over 2,000 hours. In addition, a new RFID card will be presented with electronic paper (e-paper) display. The card can reportedly be deployed in various industrial applications such as access control, e-Kanban and logistics traceability. The solution works with the NFC (near-field communication) protocol without a battery. The smart card is waterproof and can be overwritten more than 1 million times, according to the manufacturers. It is readable and writable with the help of an industrial antenna or via smartphones.
