As the manufacturers explain, using a comprehensive selection screen, either the angle of inclination, the specific taper angle, the taper ratios or the values for two diameters and length are entered. The tool necessary for the processing is then retrieved from tool storage. This tool includes all technical values and tool coordinates with the corresponding cutting radii, which are said to be decisive for precise taper turning. The cutting radius correction is automatically calculated entirely without CNC. The machine operator then graphically selects the machining direction depending on the direction of rotation from inside to outside or the reverse. The direction of rotation for the hand wheel is also indicated. The operator rotates the manually guided shaft in the direction of the X-axis, the Z-axis follows automatically. This is described as an intuitive handling mastered in the briefest of time, with no desire left unfulfilled in terms of logic or simplicity, according to the company.
