As the company explains, the new development is a standardized component that replaces conventional linear guides. The guide shoe is said to effectively optimize the precision, performance and service life of machining equipment. The special thing about it, according to the exhibitors, is that the planning of the guide design can be conducted by the users themselves. These hydrostatic guide shoes are offered in three cross-section sizes and two lengths, each for pump pressures of 32, 50 and 80 bar. The symmetrical shoe is suitable for narrow guides. For wider dimensions or for ultra-precision machines such as micromachining centers, the asymmetrical model should be used. Flow controllers and pressure sensors are integrated in the shoe itself, so that all users need to do is add pressure oil.
Shoe allows users to mount hydrostatic guides
At the EMO Hannover 2017, Hyprostatik Schönfeld will be presenting a further development of the hydrostatic guide shoe. The shoe allows users to carry out their own hydrostatic guide design.
