Screw conveyor discharges difficult flowing bulk materials

With their newly developed screw conveyor, Erdwich is presenting a discharge system within a material bunker for a wide range of free-flowing materials.

Erdwich has developed a process-safe solution for the storage and discharge of difficult flowing bulk solids.

The shredding specialists from Erdwich will be introducing a new system as a safe and reliable solution for storing and discharging difficult bulk materials such as wood flour, metal shavings, refuse-derived fuel (RDF) and shredder light fraction (SLF). By means of three discharge screws and an asymmetrical funnel, a rapid evacuation of large quantities of material as well as a trouble-free procedure can be realized, something that was previously impossible, as the manufacturers maintain. With a controllable material discharge, the new system is said to offer considerable advantages over conventional techniques for material discharge. Even when the bunkers are filled, a safe start-up of the screws is reportedly ensured. The solution can be installed as an elevated tank as well as an underground bunker.
