The Dynafilter from Grundfos Bio Booster is a compact, on-site water treatment solution for metal part washers that will be shown by the industrial cleaning solutions provider Anmasi. The filtration technology allows the reuse of water and chemicals in that it efficiently separates washing media and metal particles. According to the exhibitors, overall water and chemical consumption can be reduced by up to 50 per cent and energy consumption by up to 20 percent. Operators reportedly also praise the significant improvements in the cleanliness of parts, the uniform and predictable wash quality, and the fewer water dumps and tank cleanings. As is explained, the membrane filtration system uses dynamic, rotating ceramic discs to separate the washing media and return treated water and rinsing chemicals to the metalworking process. Each filtration disc is made from silicon carbide (SiC), which makes the discs resistant to high temperatures and harsh chemicals. The system can be easily placed next to the parts washer and features automatic operation and a backwash cycle. It comes with a PC/PLC controller and a seven-inch touch screen for easy programming and operation.
