SBS is intensively working on product improvement for all components of their balancing and process control systems for grinding machines. All the company's controllers are now equipped with FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays), which reportedly makes them much faster, more reliable and easier to adapt to new technologies. IVIS, a newly developed operating system, has become very successful since its launch, the manufacturers point out. Instead of simple limit-based process control strategies, automatic and self-learning process control strategies have been established. Working with the University of Cologne, the exhibitors have developed new acoustic emission sensors with much higher sensitivity. The advanced balancing strategies remain unchanged and are claimed to have proved excellent in the IPT Aachen balancing strategy comparison tests. Improved, completely PVC-free cables in red will be introduced at the fair. This is billed as a visible sign of the ongoing effort to keep up with evolving customer needs.
Process monitoring with self-learning strategies
SBS says it is systematically working to improve every component of its balancing and process monitoring systems for grinding machines. This should also be apparent in the cables. They are PVC-free and now red.
