The manufacturers inform that they have further developed the technology of internal honing for internal gearing with significantly higher quality requirements. For the first time, it is claimed, hardened and therefore more stable gearing has been able to be significantly optimized in terms of pitch values and surface structure as a result. The exhibitors will be demonstrating both methods in one work chamber for purposes of direct comparison and in order to illustrate the modularity of the Synchro Skiver machine series. The global market leader for gear honing machines is also using the trade fair to present new developments for outer gearing. Vario Cross Honing, which is described as deploying a special oscillation method during honing, reportedly makes it possible to reduce surface roughness even further and additionally increase surface quality.
