According to the exhibitors, the new Airline cylinder combines the advantages of the tried-and-tested hydraulic Docklock cylinder with the simple handling of a pneumatic system. As the Swiss company reports, thanks to a form-fitting, self-locking clamping system, just 6 bar is enough to ensure reliable functioning and generate a pull-in force of over 12,500 N and a retention force of over 40,000 N. Air-blast cleaning and support monitoring features are included as standard. The tapered center of the plug allows for tilted fixing without any problems and a repeat accuracy of under 5 micrometers. The plug itself offers maximum stability with its compact design. The cylinder is said to be practically maintenance-free as it has only three moving parts. Moreover, the robust design makes it suitable for almost all applications.
