STUDER's experience in developing and manufacturing precision tools - especially cylindrical grinders - dates back over a century. In addition to actual grinding solutions and related services, the Swiss company’s range now also incorporates the ever more important aspect of system integration, including the associated software - all delivering the high level of quality for which Switzerland is famous. The name given to the latest addition to STUDER AG's product portfolio - "favorit" - reflects the intention of continuing the company's success story.

The automation option means the CNC universal cylindrical grinding machines in the new "favorit" line support both individual and batch production. Representing incredible value for money, the machines can be retrofitted with a range of accessory kits for new grinding requirements such as in-process gaging, balancing, contact detection and longitudinal positioning. Like all the manufacturer's cylindrical grinding machines, the "favorit" boasts a solid granite machine base for maximum precision, performance and reliability. What's more, a whole host of further innovative features are intended to boost efficiency and make the "favorit" easier to handle. The practical STUDER grinding software with its proven StuderPictogramming makes for quick and practical programming of grinding and dressing cycles, even by less experienced staff. The user-friendly, contemporary design is enhanced by a touchscreen panel that makes it easy for operators to control the machine directly. Service doors at the rear and on the right-hand side also ensure highly ergonomic machine maintenance.
