EMO Hannover: unique event for the production technology of tomorrow and meeting place for startups

In cooperation with Deutsche Messe AG, a large startup area Young Tech Enterprises@EMO Hannover 2019 is planned on an exhibition area of 500 square metres. Presentations by startups and sponsors as well as pitches will take place here. Matchmaking offers to find new customers, suppliers and cooperation partners round off the programme.

Exhibiting startups can market their new product and process developments at their individual booth or joint stands, specifically promote export marketing, build up their network at national and international level and create or expand their own market presence.

Another aim of the special area is to bring EMO exhibitors (M&A, R&D), buyers, associations, political leaders, sponsors and investors together with the startups exhibiting at EMO Hannover.

Participation is not limited to independent startups, but also open to spin-offs from established companies as well as spin-offs and founders from the academic sphere in all phases of the development process. In addition, sponsors from a wide variety of sectors - such as banks, private equity firms, established companies, crowdfunding experts, accelerators, business angels or incubators - can present their know-how.

Moreover, there will be a sponsored joint stand of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi) in cooperation with the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) and organized by the VDW. As in 2017, young German enterprises can show their skills under the banner of "innovation made in Germany". With its well-structured offer, the support package enables young companies to participate in a large international trade fair and, above all, to finance it.

Companies that meet the following requirements are entitled to 60 percent of the package price: legal independence, establishment of a company no longer than ten years ago, balance sheet total of max. 10 million euros, offering new products and procedural innovations or improving existing products, processes and services.
