Originally developed for the manufacture of precision parts for the watch industry in Switzerland, longitudinal-turning lathes are now widely used, according to Heimatec. On such machines, for example, automotive components or screws and pins for medical technology as well as precision parts for electrical engineering are manufactured. Under the designation Heimatec.SwissTooling, the exhibitors have developed a new standard program of machining tools that are reportedly distinguished by their long service life and high processing quality. During development of this wide range of fixed and driven tools, the German manufacturers point out, an optimal adjustment to the machine parameters was carried out as well as a precise design to the specific machine parameters. In addition to the current standard program, special tools and solutions will also be developed in future.
