Fluidity is range of solenoid valves, divided into three types according to flow rate. The solenoid valves with direct actuation supply a permissible maximum pressure of 40 bar thanks to the diameter of the process medium throughput of 1 to 5 mm. Secondly, the diaphragm valves can reach a pressure of 25 bar since they have process medium throughputs with a diameter that varies from 10 to 25 mm. In this case, the threads have a diameter of 1/4 inch to 1 inch. The third solenoid valve group, the 03F series, also with diaphragm, has the same threading diameter and opening dimensions, but it allows the diaphragm to be opened and closed even at a pressure that can reach 0 bar. To cover a wide spectrum of different applications, three types of gaskets are provided. The body of the solenoid valves is made of brass, and according to the Italian manufacturers, a stainless-steel version will also be available from the autumn that is seen as ideal for environments with aggressive process media like foodstuffs. A further innovation concerns solenoid valves in the series with direct actuation. They will then be manufactured in stainless steel 316 using a new injection process. This technology is said to be more cost-effective than the previous sand casting process and also provide a much smoother surface on the solenoid valves, which ensures a greater fluidity of the liquid and less sediment deposit.
New solenoid valves to improve performance
Aignep announces enhancements to its Fluidity series of solenoid valves. In future, for example, there will be a stainless-steel version resistant to aggressive process media and a 316 steel variant manufactured with a new injection method.
