    Maximum transparency for tool-centered data

Aalen-based MAPAL is showcasing c-Com at EMO 2017 – a new solution for efficient tool and data management developed in cooperation with software manufacturer SAP and other global partners.

    15 Feb. 2017

The volume of data available for every tool is constantly growing. If managed effectively, master data, process data and inventory data can offer huge potential for optimizing processes. The new c-Com open platform helps customers and suppliers maintain and share all relevant tool data on the basis of clearly defined rules and access rights. This ensures that the data required for successful cooperation is always up-to-date. Regardless of the number of users, data on the platform is maintained by the relevant owner so that the correct information can be accessed by all authorized parties at any time and from any location, offering companies unprecedented levels of transparency.

The c-Com platform can be used to analyze the different technical solutions applied within a company. For example, tools and machining parameters can be compared for workpieces of the same type that are produced at different sites. This supports standardization programs and benchmarking strategies, and also allows stock levels and procurement strategies to be harmonized at significantly reduced costs. Further efficiency can be ensured by greatly simplifying the interaction between purchasing, production and suppliers. What’s more, c-Com also gives suppliers the opportunity to offer new services and more targeted solutions.
