Whenever innovations in metal processing are introduced, an important aspect is often forgotten, according to MKR Metzger. This is the fact that the output also depends on the quality of the cooling lubricants. In order to improve machine performance, the lubricants should be replaced more frequently. This, however, means additional costs in terms of higher consumption as well as for the disposal. A practical alternative is provided by the recycling of cooling lubricants on-site. The company will be presenting such a solution at EMO Hannover 2017 in the form of its suction and filter cart SF 500, which is claimed to yield a functionality and performance hitherto unattained. In addition, visitors to the booth will also be able to see how MKR evaporators work with the help of an animated process model. These devices form the central element of the efficient recovery of pure water and resources from the most varied of process media as well as for the minimization of disposable items. Recycling by means of evaporation is therefore seen as equally suitable for downstream stations such as washing or varnishing.
