According to Rübig, the Gascon systems represent a highly efficient and advanced gas nitriding process. The equipment, built in a modular fashion and adapted to customer requirements, is seen as a reliable technology thanks to its long lifetime expectancy and the capability of sensor-controlled gas nitriding and gas nitro-carburizing. The gas nitriding equipment Gascon K2, which will be showcased at EMO Hannover 2017, is available in batch-type, shaft-type or horizontal designs. The product range varies from standard sizes up to customer-specific dimensions and tailor-made equipment and process control executions. According to the exhibitors, the Gasox process enables tribological and corrosion-critical applications. Standard applications for gas nitriding include shafts, gears, valves, all bearing components, spindles and worm gears.
