The new range of dressing spindles features three air-cooled models (32, 58 and 72 mm) and reportedly offers high torque at low speeds thanks to synchronous motor technology. The very fact of switching to this motor technology is claimed to increase the pin rigidity by at least 30 percent, making dressage even more precise. As an option, the acoustic emission sensor provides much more efficient management and monitoring of the dressing process. It detects with very high sensitivity the slightest variations of tone when the dresser is in contact with the grinding wheel, according to the manufacturers. As is explained, depending on the data acquisition device chosen, it is possible to measure the spectrum at different frequencies. The dressing cycles are then directly optimized according to the actual conditions. This technology thus guarantees much shorter dressing times.
