    Great timing!

    To coincide with the start of EMO Hannover 2017, the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) approved a testbed developed by Plethora IIoT in cooperation with Xilinx to accelerate machine learning for predictive maintenance in large-scale production.

    No wonder Plethora IIoT was quick to post such a positive report on its website about this year's EMO Hannover. The Spanish company is delighted to have forged a host of new contacts and will soon continue discussions to explore the new opportunities and scenarios that using the IIC-approved testbed opens up.

    The innovative testbed, produced in close collaboration between Plethora IIoT and Xilinx, is designed to analyze machine learning techniques and evaluate algorithmic approaches to time-critical predictive maintenance. This insight produces practical results that will help companies make the transition from traditional preventive maintenance to state-of-the-art predictive methods - which all serves to minimize unplanned downtime and optimize system operation. Used effectively, the testbed should help manufacturers boost availability, improve energy efficiency and extend the service life of high-volume CNC production systems.
