The MX-520 PC4 five-axis vertical machining center from Matsuura

Matsuura Machinery announces the launch of MX-520 PC4, a four-pallet automated version of their single-table five-axis vertical machining center. According to the company, this development has arisen through demand from customers for an automation solution on the machine for pallet pools and changers. The conventional version, which is described as offering dynamic machining versatility, high accuracy and reliability, and very good cost performance, has been on the market since 2010. As of immediately, the new variant can be equipped with 90 tools and an installed Universal Robot Interface to maximize the automation potential. The latest Fanuc 31i is also installed and integrated with the original software from the manufacturers to ensure ease of use, at-a-glance status information and first-rate operability. Also highlighted is the efficient 12,000 rpm spindle with 120.0 Nm. Options include a high-torque motor with 187.0 Nm and a 20,000 rpm spindle with 108.7 Nm for the high-speed machining of aluminum parts.
