Schiess has developed a modular machine kit to meet demands for increasingly larger machining centers for series production, especially in the energy and transport centers. Over the last few years, the company has optimized these kits based on customer requirements and can now offer machines with an attractive price-performance ratio that can be customized with a range of options. Options on show will include the Verti-Master V vertical turning-milling centers with a face plate diameter starting at 1,250 mm and the Verti-Master T table-type portal milling machines with table sizes starting at 2,000 mm. The manufacturers will also be showing Hori-Master P boring mills with a spindle diameter of 130 or 160 mm. A variety of machining heads based on the Masterhead principle is also available to make the machines more versatile.
