Meba reports that it was the first industrial manufacturer to integrate electrical systems in its machines with linear ball screw feeds and the electrical saw feed, with electrical positioning of the material feed and the electrical cutting feed. The machines were gradually adapted from hydraulic to electrical drives. The high-performance band saw Meba E-Cut is billed as a pioneer in the industry dispensing with the use of hydraulic systems. The saw is equipped with a newly electric material clamp and the material is clamped in the main and in-feed vice via a servo-controlled spindle drive. The clamping pressure can be adjusted individually for each application and can be preselected through the machine control. All models of the new range are designed for high productivity and for long-term and continuous use in single- and multiple shift operation. The sawing of solid materials and tubes as well as bundle- and carbide sawing can be easily performed with the new range.
