The exhibition highlights from Bär + Co. will include magnetic separator conveyors that clean coolant in a particularly energy-efficient way. As the company explains the principle behind it, the self-developed and patented separation system uses simple physical laws in order to achieve high cleaning performances with minimum power consumption. The installations have been undergoing further development for more than 15 years and are reportedly in use all over the world. The magnetic separator conveyors are offered for flow rates of 100 l/min to 5,000 l/min at a power consumption of 0.09 to 0.55 kW. Depending on the design, the separation size is around 30 to 100 micrometers. The laminar flow and the small difference between the conveying speed of the magnet systems and the flow rate of the medium mean that all liquid phases remain in the area of influence of the magnet systems for a long time. As the German manufacturers insist, this ensures a very good separation result and a high level of efficiency.
