DVS Tooling will be presenting a comprehensive spectrum of tools for Präwema gear honing for both internal and external gearing at EMO Hanover 2017. The dressing tool VSD SF is new in the range, whereby the letters SF stand for Super-Finishing and reportedly make reference to the extremely good surface quality. To do justice to these requirements in series production as well, the exhibitors point out, the tools used must be accordingly coordinated. With its new dressing tool, the manufacturers claim not only to offer especially tight production tolerances, but also surfaces of Rz less than 1 micrometer for external gearing. A further highlight at the booth will be the diamond dressing gear wheels that the company finishes using its own DVS Laser Cut method at its base in Hemer near Dortmund. As a result, the diamond wheels are claimed to stand out through very good cutting properties, excellent pitch quality and a long service life.
