The QX die-sinking electrical discharge machining range has been developed as a double-head sinking machine controlled by two independent CNC generators to enhance profitability, reduce processing time and produce more accurate finishing. It is billed as a unique solution on the market that allows the possibility of eroding two cavities simultaneously and independently. According to the Spanish manufacturers, it yields the highest possible return when machining large workpieces with a high degree of technical complexity, which is seen as particularly useful in the manufacturing of large molds for the automotive industry. The highly rigid mechanical structure of the machine, constructed from fine-grained cast iron blended with graphite, allows workpieces up to 25 metric tons to be efficiently machined. Constant innovation has reportedly allowed the company to develop a generator that is 30 percent more powerful than the current standard on the market.
