The Taiwanese machine tool manufacturer and the US 3D printing specialists will be unveiling a collaborative product at EMO Hannover 2017. The AMH-350 is described as a hybrid additive and subtractive machine that fulfills 3D printing, parts repairing, laser deposition and five-axis machining functions. According to the exhibitors, these particular processing methods can all be achieved in one unit as a one-stop machining center to shorten production time and reduce material costs. In addition, the CT-350 will also be highlighted at the show. This five-axis machining center features a specific table construction design and zero-backlash trunnion table with roller gear cam that reportedly yields a high degree of precision and rigidity. A third focus at the fair will lie on Tongtai Line Management (TLM), a solution for real-time monitoring. According to its developers, the system acquires data from the linked equipment through the Internet for purposes of analysis and optimization. The real-time status, availability and current performance of the machines is then shown on a user-friendly screen interface.
