The new developments on show from Stanko Mash Stroy are designed for outer and inner diameter machining. This includes metric, inch, modular and worm threading tasks as well as drilling, boring and reaming. According to the manufacturers, the strong structure of the cast bed and its hardened precision-ground guideways ensure professional machining and reliable and stable operation. Thanks to the deployment of high-precision spindle bearings, the structure of the spindle unit and the machine as a whole is said to be especially rigid. This allows processing with high cutting forces and the full use of the motor power. As the exhibitors stress, the lathes from the ST16k20 series are constructed with advanced technology, are easy to operate, and maintain their precision over a long period of time. The machines are equipped with a powerful 7.5 kW motor and the working area has been designed for the convenience of European users with a height that is 7 cm higher than on comparable Asian variants. The assembly, adjustment and testing are reportedly carried out in accordance with the ISO 1708-8-89 standard.
