The RPC 700 is described as a universally applicable high-precision measuring device based on specific customer requirements to determine the form deviation of bearing rings, turntables and cylindrical workpieces. Its set-up as CNC-controlled, four-axis measuring equipment allows it to cover a larger range of parts. These include highly complex gearing or 3D measuring tasks on prismatic workpieces. All components relevant for high precision are constructed with dark granite and air-bearing guide elements are positioned in all axes to ensure a wear-free and smooth operation. The measuring uncertainty according to DIN EN ISO10360 is specified by the company with the Maximum Permissible Error figures of MPEE 0.6 micrometers plus L/400 and MPETHP 0.8 micrometers. The machine is said to perfectly combine the metrology features of a form measuring device with the strengths of a gear or coordinate measuring machine. The sophisticated software with fully automatic measuring cycles is seen as a prerequisite for a direct closed-loop system to the processing machine. The solution is offered according to Industry 4.0 requirements together with the KN5Ci grinding machine.
