The gripping torque of the collets reportedly exceeds the values of shrink-fit and hydraulic chucks over the entire clamping range. The efficiency of the precision chucks is also stressed. Thanks to higher tool life and in comparison to a Weldon chuck, the total costs, for example when C45 milling with a solid carbide end mill with diameter 12 mm, are claimed to be up to 40 percent lower.

For additional protection, the Albrecht APC milling chucks with mechanical pull stop (Pin-Lock) solution prevent the pulling out of side lock (Weldon) tools at extremely high clamping forces.
