Rüdiger Kügler first became involved in software development in 1988, working in FORTRAN, C, and Assembler as part of his physics degree course. After completing his studies in 1995, he held positions as a project manager and head of project management for software protection, software distribution, internet banking, and multimedia projects.
Since 2003, Rüdiger Kügler has been working with Wibu-Systems as a security expert and leader of the professional services team. His core competences include the protection of software against reverse engineering, the integration of licensing in the internal processes of software vendors, and the optimization of software and license distribution and management processes. As part of his role, he contributed substantially to the development of Blurry Box® technology, which took first place in the 5th German IT Security Prize awarded by the Horst Görtz Foundation.
