The Borin system from Hobe: tool holder (slotted) and front edge cutter SDK.

Hobe manufactures precision tools for the shaping of interior profiles in very small bores within the diameter range of 0.3 to 8 mm. The company develops, produces and distributes high-quality micro-tools made of solid carbide for the machining of sophisticated metal and plastic components. The high-precision tool system Borin is claimed to fulfill the highest demands on the geometrical accuracy of machined parts. Spiral fluted bars with inner cooling, extreme sharpness, polished chip flutes and small edge radii produce outstanding cutting results, the exhibitors maintain. The system contains a system tool holder and multiple different bars to bore, cut, copy, chamber, groove, thread and produce multi-edge profiles in combination with the system bar Broachin. Thanks to the interaction of the bar and the tool holder, users are said to achieve a position accuracy of plus/minus 5 micrometers with no additional tools required to change bars.
