    The latest generation of Albrecht Precision Chucks allows a high process reliability.

    The latest generation of the Albrecht Precision Chuck (APC) now includes an improved worm gear (patent 1206990) with a traction force of 3 metric tons. According to the manufacturer, this is achieved by the world's only 1:16 worm gear in order to enable an even higher holding force. An ideal damping is reportedly achieved through the collet-cone assemblage, which absorbs virtually all vibrations. The combination of gripping torque, vibration damping and runout accuracy allows high process reliability and what is claimed to be a faster cutting performance than other chucks. In addition, the new corrosion protection helps ensure a long service life. The APC is particularly suitable for trochoidal, dry and hard machining as well as for milling, drilling and reaming.
