JUARISTI Boring & Milling Machines, based in the Basque province of Gipuzkoa, is a third-generation family business with over 70 years of experience in manufacturing and distributing machine tools. Ten years ago, a German branch – JMT Juaristi Machine Tools GmbH & Co. KG – was also founded in Dinslaken. It specializes in new-generation CNC machining centers, milling machines and boring mills and offers profitable solutions for cost-effective machining. The company is now at EMO Hannover 2017 to unveil its new TH3S boring and milling center, designed in particular for the high-tech sectors of the metalworking industry.
According to Juaristi, the new TH3S boring and milling center with its centrally guided headstock combines performance, precision and a high level of automation. The high performance level of the horizontal boring and milling center is assured by features such as automatic heads and head changers. Moving at up to forty meters a minute, the TH3S also supports tools with high machining rates and feed speeds. The travel distances of the TH3S in the X, Y and Z axes are 3,000 millimeters, 2,500 millimeters and 2,000 millimeters respectively. The spindle sleeve travel distance W is 800 millimeters and the spindle sleeve diameter is 130 millimeters. The rotary table measures 1,600 × 2,000 millimeters and has a load-bearing capacity of twenty metric tons. The TH3S is equipped with a CNC Siemens 840D-SL, ATC-120 tool changer, D’Andrea UT5-630 facing head and automatic tool changer magazine. The machine also features a Renishaw RMP-60 machine tool probe and an NC4 laser tool set.
