Zero Clamp is known for its pneumatic zero point clamping system, which the company claims is unique on the market thanks to its thermal symmetry and its use of only one clamping stud type. The manufacturers report that they are now presenting all of these benefits in their new mechanical zero point clamping system, the Flex Clamp, which is seen as the ideal solution for mold construction or for clamping complex components. Different heights can be achieved with a stepless adjustment range of 25 mm or with a 50 mm adapter. Flexibility is a key priority in the system and is provided by means of the multifunctional base, which enables the clamp to be positioned both on the Zero Clamp zero point clamping system and directly on the machine table. As in the case of the pneumatic system, the exhibitors explain, thermal fluctuations are constantly compensated relative to the center with a repeat accuracy of less than 2.5 µm. For both of these systems, the benefits of using only one clamping stud type are said to guarantee process reliability and flexibility.
