The new magnetic filter on show is used for the fully automatic, continuous cleaning of liquid media from ferromagnetic substances. In the process, the quality of the coolant is claimed to be significantly increased without the use of filter aids. The magnetic filter can be used as a full-flow and partial-flow filter system. As the company maintains, it also extends the service life of filter fleeces and other filter aids of downstream filter systems. The device consists of a stainless-steel enclosure with an electrically driven magnetic roll that is jacketed by a thin-walled stainless-steel sleeve. Ferromagnetic substances adhere to the magnetic roll and are removed by means of a non-contact scraper. An optional retention roll on the magnetic roll separates the liquid from the impurities. Flow rates of around 63 to 1,500 l/min are reportedly possible. The key advantage is seen in the provision of high-performance filtration in a modular system that is adjustable to the available space. The low operating costs, low wear and low maintenance are also stressed.
