The new five-axis Acura range with rotary/tilt table unit is said to speak for itself. The highly precise and compact Acura 65, the first in the series, has a base area of 2,685x2,850 mm and a height of 2,545 mm with large travels of 700x650x600 mm (x/y/z). The machining concept is claimed to fit in practically every production facility. Workpieces up to 500 kg can reportedly be clamped on the rotary/tilt table unit with its diameter of 650x540 mm. As the manufacturers report, the hydraulics, pneumatics, central lubrication system, electrical cabinet and cooling units are fully integrated into the machine paneling and are easily accessible from the right-hand side for maintenance purposes. Moreover, the machine table is ideally constructed for easy accessibility with its height of 845 mm and the face plate of the rotary/tilt table unit has been moved forward for enhanced accessibility of the workpiece. The exhibitors also spotlight the high tool capacity of 65 tool stations as standard.
