They can be mounted in reference position on an electrode holder, dismounted after using, and reused afterwards. As a reference for the positioning and orientation of the electrodes, there are two locating pins with diameters of 3 mm and 4 mm. Electrodes with a diameter up to 45 mm can be fixed with a M6 screw through the center. Electrodes with a diameter over 50 mm can be fixed with two or three M6 screws. The clamping of the workpiece is said to be simple and the chucking spigot and the electrode fixing screw ensure the flushing. According to the manufacturers, the electrode holders are an especially good option if the electrodes have to be stored or if the electrodes are produced by a sub-supplier. The devices are seen as providing an economic and efficient solution when handling a high number of electrodes.
