The Lasco die-forging hammer is now fully automatic.

In both technological and economic terms, the hydraulic die-forging hammer is seen by its manufacturers as an optimum forming machine for the forging industry. According to Lasco, it provides a maximum of forming force coupled with the lowest possible investment of time, cost and energy. As the company explains, many forgings, in particular complex and heavy forgings can only be produced economically with a hammer. The hydraulic die-forging hammers on exhibition are said to fulfill all the demands placed on metal-forming machines regarding process capability and efficiency. As the first producer of machine tools worldwide, Lasco has reportedly realized full automation on its die-forging hammers. The key merits of the latest developments are specified as process stability, the exclusion of positioning errors, savings in personnel costs, an increase in output, an enhanced quality of the forged parts, a reduction in the scrap rate, and an enhancement of the multiple impression forging.
