Within the scope of a collaboration between the two Spanish companies Lagun MT and Addilan, the first machines with WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing) technology are being marketed. According to the exhibitors, medium-sized components and high deposition rates make WAAM technology an interesting additive manufacturing (AM) option for highly demanding industrial sectors. The machines work with all materials used in welding, including steel, super alloys and titanium alloys. The closed loop control system and the inert chamber reportedly ensure the quality of the component. The experience of the one company and the innovative machine of the other are said to match perfectly to bring the market what is a highly competitive AM solution.
