The STA centrifugal separators are particularly deployed where the established simple filtration techniques arrive at their limits, as the exhibitors explain. This applies for instance with non-filterable suspensions like ceramics debris, graphite or highly viscous machining oils. Very high separation efficiencies are claimed to be achieved, with the extracted solids being dry and free from any foreign substances. The separators thus help extend the life of the fluids and tools and maximize machine availability. The U-15 model, with its powerful drive and its fluid-dynamically designed accelerator hub, can reportedly separate particles of 3 micrometers or less. Thanks to its new independent bearing system, the machine runs smoothly and is less sensitive to imbalances. The company adds that it is also available in a three-phase version as a complete fluid care system to separate sludge and tramp oil in one go.
Complete fluid care system for solids and tramp oils
STA centrifugal separators are space-saving, high-performance systems for cleaning process fluids from fine particles and tramp oils without the use of filter aids. Thanks to a new independent bearing system, the U-15 model runs smoothly and is less sensitive to imbalances, according to its German manufacturers.
