VDW (The German Machine Tool Builders' Association), is entrusted with the organisation of EMO Hannover.

The trade fair EMO is organized under the patronage and at the initiative of the European Committee for Cooperation of the Machine Tool Industries (CECIMO). EMO takes place every other year, twice consecutively in Hannover, once in Milan, e.g. Hannover - Hannover - Milan - Hannover - Hannover - Milan.
