Automation solutions for machining centers (0385)

One focus from Alzmetall at this year's fair will be on flexible, customized automation systems for their GS and CS ranges of machining centers. These comprise linear robotic systems, articulated robots and workpiece pallet-changing systems tailored to specific applications. Linear robotic systems, for example, handle single or pre-adjusted workpieces on pallets and common systems often handle several machining centers in-line and with high productivity gains. Articulated robots are characterized by high flexibility in exchanging single workpieces or moving workpieces to and from pallets, ideally equipped with a datum point tooling system. The solutions enable three different operation patterns, the pallet-changing mode, the shelve mode, and the manual operation mode. Such systems are particularly productive when serving up to three machining centers. Pallet-changing systems are deployed to exchange pre-adjusted workpieces on pallets and operate with different levels of automation. The combination of rotary changer, shuttle and multi-pallet systems represents the highest expansion stage for this solution. The company stresses the different upgrade possibilities for all its automation systems.
